Kohler 27hp engine problem?
Hi i have a 2004 Exmark Lazer Z that has a v-twin 27hp kohler motor on it. the motor is in the vertical position and it has only 250hours on it. it was replaced 2 years ago because the one on it blue i purchased the mower after the new engine was put on it and i dont now who installed it but it is new. i have been having problems with it back firing after i run it for a why'll and turn it off. it has also been getting harder to start i have to play around with the throttle to get it to turn on and most of the time if i try to give it more gass after i start it it will die i don't have any shops around me that fix them i do all the maintenance on it and i have tons of tools i cant figure out why it is doing it please help me?
After you get the manual look up these things
valve adjustment
sparg plug gap and replacemetn .
At 25 hours you may be due for both valve adjustment and replacing spark plugs.
