how will I convert my carb gasoline engine to run on lpg?
does anyone knows how to convert a carb gasoline engine to lpg at low cost? my car is a 97 VW polo classic
I don't know if they make a changeover kit for this, but who knows?
I have bought a number of vehicles from our state surplus sales that were lpg (with chevy engines) and have converted all of them to gasoline. Reason being, propane has much less btu's of heat so get much worse mileage. And, propane here is fairly close to the price of gas per gallon.
The positive aspects of propane use in the engine is that it burns very clean & the engines run much longer.
So unless you are getting lpg very cheap or free (like if you are at the well head or something) gasoline will be cheaper to run - or else I would use lpg myself.
