Curved Stem
Nose Ring Help? please

I have my nose pierced, and i got it pierced at the end of June. I went to change the stud today, and it was impossible. I had the corkscrew kind in, but it has a long stem, and not much of a curve (but it's definitely curved, just not a lot) I went to put a different corkscrew in, and the one i had was short, with a short, but deep, curve. i had so much trouble! i had to put the old one back in, and it went in perfectly fine. The smaller ones were extremely difficult, and painful. Why is that?
First of all make sure they are the same gauge as the one you had your nose pierced with. Second, your piercing might not be healed all the way, making it harder and more painful to change the stud. Nose piercings take months to heal, and although it seems like they are healed enough to change the ring they're really not. I tried changing mine before it was fully healed and it hurt. And those kinds of nose studs with the twists just take a little while to get used to. Give your piercing a couple days to recover from being messed with and try it again. Once you get the hang of it it's easy, like putting in an earring, but it just takes a little practice. Good luck
