Large truck, severe winter conditions snow and ice tires?

I just purchased a 97 Ford F150 4x4 extended cab three door, full size bed truck with a long wheel base. The last few winters here have had several level 3 snow emergencies. My job requires me to be at work no matter what so I NEED a good set of ICE tires that perform well in deep snow and tall drifts. The route that I have to take to work is hilly and curvy with many deep ditches along the way and is not well maintained by the county. Normally, there is a thick layer of ice. They salt and it refreezes the same night. Any suggestions? 265/70 R16.

The best winter tire for light trucks, bar none, is the Bridgestone Blizzak DM-V1. It is the most modern multicell truck tire (for more information on multicell tires, see the first link below).

The other truck tire with a multicell compound is the Yokohama Geolandar G072. It's three years old now, and tire design improves with every generation, but it's a solid choice for snow and ice. Check out the second link for information on it.
